Privacy Policy
Effective October 15, 2026
The short version: the Present Company app doesn't collect personal data. No accounts, no tracking, no ads. If you join our waitlist, we keep your email to send you Present Company news, and we'll delete it whenever you ask.
Who we are
Present Company makes conversation cards: the Present Company: Questions app for iPhone, printed card decks, and Present Company Monthly, our subscription box. In this policy, "Present Company", "we", and "us" mean the people behind it. You can reach us any time at hello@presentcompanycards.com.
The app
- No personal data. The app does not collect personal information, and it does not send any to us or to anyone else.
- No accounts. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to.
- No tracking or ads. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking code, and it doesn't use your device's advertising identifier.
- Your favorites and settings stay on your device. Saved cards, preferences, and your place in a deck are stored only on your phone. Deleting the app deletes them. They may be included in your device's own backups, which Apple handles under its privacy policy.
- Purchases are processed by Apple. When you buy a pack or subscribe to All Access, Apple handles the payment. We never receive your name, email address, or payment details. The app only learns which purchases are active, so it can open the right decks.
- Notifications are local. If you turn on reminders such as Card of the Day, the app schedules them on your device. We don't run a notification server, and nothing about them leaves your phone.
This website
- The waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and the products you tell us you're interested in. The form is processed by Netlify Forms, part of Netlify, the company that hosts this site.
- How we use your email. Only to send you news about Present Company, like when the app or the printed decks are ready. We don't sell it, rent it, or add it to anyone else's list.
- Deleting it. Email hello@presentcompanycards.com and we'll remove your email from the waitlist. You can also reply to any email we send and ask to be removed.
- Hosting and fonts. Like any website, our host processes basic technical data, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google to download them.
- No cookies or analytics. This site doesn't set tracking cookies and doesn't use analytics or ad pixels.
- Printed decks and Present Company Monthly. Before we sell anything that ships to your door, we'll update this policy to explain exactly how we handle your name, address, and order details.
Children
Some of our decks, like Little Questions and Family Table, are made for families. They're meant to be played with a parent or another grown-up. The app doesn't collect personal data from anyone, including children. The waitlist is for adults, and we don't knowingly collect email addresses from children under 13. If you think a child has given us their email, write to us and we'll delete it.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. For Present Company, that's at most the email address you gave us for the waitlist. Ask at hello@presentcompanycards.com and we'll take care of it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects what we collect, we'll say so plainly here before it takes effect.
